Built by a trainer,
for trainers.
I'm Sammy. Personal trainer with a bit of a techy side. I built FitPros because the software out there wasn't good enough, and I honestly think we deserve better.

It started with frustration.
Like most PTs, I'd maxed out my in-person hours and needed a way to deliver more value without giving up even more of my time. So I tried everything.
I spruced up my spreadsheets to the max, but the client experience still sucked. I tried the expensive PT apps. They were okay for me as a coach, but average for my clients. Everything was locked behind paywalls or bogged down by outdated designs that felt like they were built in 2015.
I thought: screw it, I'll build my own.
So I did. Over 3 years I built a tool for me and my clients. It helped me earn my first $100K year as a personal trainer. It let me restructure my pricing, lower my client turnover, make my clients more consistent, and boost their results.
And then I looked at the bigger picture. When I looked at other industries, I saw these incredible tools that empowered their communities. Canva for designers, DaVinci Resolve for video editors. All delivering massive value upfront, for free.
But in the fitness industry? Nothing like that. Where's the ethics? Where's the value? Why isn't it more community-driven?
"I honestly think we deserve better."
The Reddit post that started it all.
I posted on r/personaltraining. Nervous. Honestly terrified. Sharing what I'd built: a free alternative to Trainerize, PT Hub, True Coach, and the rest.
I explained why: apps like those can work, but they're expensive, lock features behind paywalls, and the client experience often feels clunky and outdated. I'd spent the last 3 years building something better, and I wanted to give it away.

The response blew me away. Trainers from all over resonated with the same frustration. The post took off, and FitPros went from a passion project to something real overnight.
That community response confirmed everything. Trainers don't just need better tools, they want them. They've been putting up with expensive, half-baked software for too long.
Why give it away for free?
Being a PT is already tough enough.
You're paying rent, certifications, equipment, insurance. It can feel like everyone wants a piece of your income. I wanted to create something that flips that script. Something genuinely valuable without clipping your ticket at every step.
Community first, always.
I'm inspired by products like Canva and DaVinci Resolve that built enormous communities by being generous first. Why can't we have something like that in fitness? That's the whole approach. Massively valuable for free, built to actually empower trainers.
We're building this together.
I'm just one guy. No unlimited resources, no massive team. But by keeping this free and open, I can lean on people like you. Your feedback, your bug reports, your ideas for what would make FitPros better. Together we can turn this into the tool personal trainers actually deserve.
